Yesterday was tough all around. Now that I think of it, maybe it's a good thing that things happened the way they did. Even though it wasn't enjoyable being on my own on New Year's Eve at least I didn't bring people down because that would have been even worse.

I was feeling really resentful that I was alone and I was a bit upset with John. I know he felt like crap that we missed everything. I know it's not his fault that a massive headache came on. I suppose I was just feeling a bit selfish. I missed being with my best friend...Andrea. How many years have we spent New Year's together? I don't even know how many, but I do know it's been many and I really missed the fun we typically have!

I did enjoy the earlier part of the evening. We all went to the Moose hockey game to start the New Year's Eve celebration. Mostly we went to see Kyle play with the Timbits between periods!He did amazingly well, and as soon as Andrea sends me some photo's I'll post them on here for everyone to see. Kaylee seemed to have lots of fun dancing and moving about. I can't believe how fast they both have grown. It's amazing how time flies. You really have to appreciate all the little moments and create lasting memories. It was also nice to see Tom, Edith, Erin, Jamie and Keegan.

I feel extremely lucky to be a part of Andrea's family. I don't even know how to express in words how appreciative I am of all of them. I know that they always look out for me and are always thinking of me. If any of you happen to read this...know that you all mean so much to me. I value and cherish your friendship.

There are just some people that when you meet them you know that it's for life.
